TrinidadThe Trinidad Project is located 20 kilometres south of El Dorado and 35 kilometres from the Company's Emilia Mill in Bolivar State, Venezuela. The Project is comprised of the Trinidad and Angelito Concessions totaling 3350 hectares. Previous drilling has been completed on the Project including an RC program in 2007. Targets include high grade veins (previous drilling averaged 2.5m @ 16g/t and broad silicified zones which have returned 0.5 to 0.9 g/t across 50 to 150 metres. The 2007 drilling program consisted of 75 holes totaling 7729 metres. The program tested a series of large gold in soil anomalies and all holes were shallow with only three holes exceeding 150m in total length. The drill holes have tested portions of the high grade structures located in the western part of the Central Anomaly, the CAS-01 Zone, the Bulla Zone and portions of the Eastern (Angelito) anomaly. Additional anomalies within the Trinidad Concession remain to be tested in the next phase of drilling. Exploration completed to date includes geological, geochemical, and geophysical surveys. Data includes; landsat and side-looking radar interpretation, geological mapping, soil and rock geochemistry, magnetic and radiometric geophysics, and trenching. Initial diamond drilling was done on one of the four main anomalies. The geological, geochemical, and geophysical exploration has outlined a series of kilometre-scale anomalies. In each case potential exists for bulk tonnage mineralization and high grade veins and structural targets. Highlights of the intervals for the 2007 drilling are summarized in the following table.
No drilling was completed in 2008. All mineralized zones remain open. Additional work is planned on the Trinidad Project for 2009 following up on the previously intersected high grade structures.
